Meat vendor stabs live-in partner to death

A 22-YEAR-OLD woman was killed after being stabbed by his live-in partner over a heated altercation Sunday evening inside their house in Barangay Calumpang, Liliw, Laguna.

In a report submitted by Liliw Police Chief P/Major Ajalino Balaoro to Laguna Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Provincial Director Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio, the suspect was a 27-year-old meat vendor.

Based on the initial investigation by P/Cpl. Mark Francis Sampaga, at around 10:00 p.m. November 20, 2022, the live-in partners quarreled inside their residence.

Probers said the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife on different parts of her body.

The victim was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at the Nagcarlan District Hospital after she sustained multiple stab wounds in her body.

The suspect was arrested in a follow-up operation conducted by Liliw police.

Authorities are preparing murder charges against the meat vendor before the regional trial court of Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
