MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan amended two Executive orders previously issued in relation to the observance of All Saints Day.

The mayor also amended EO No. 34 on the implementation of a liquor ban for the upcoming #Undas 2023. EO No. 34 did not specify places of liquor ban in the city from October 29 until November 2.

However, the amended version under EO No. 34-B provides specific limitations within the 500-meter radius of all cemeteries in the city, which includes the ban on sale and consumption of all alcoholic beverages on all cemeteries whether private or public.

Mayor Lacuna earlier issued EO No. 35 declaring a half-day work suspension for all offices of the city government on October 31 to provide employees ample time to prepare for the upcoming All Saints Day.

However, with the release of Memo Circular No. 38 from the Office of the President signed on October 27, 2023, work in the city government of Manila, for those applicable, will be on a work-from-home arrangement on October 31, superseding EO No. 35.

Under the amended orders, the departments involved in delivering basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or performance of other vital services shall continue with their usual operations and render the necessary services in person.

Further, classes in public schools shall shift to online or asynchronous classes and a similar arrangement for work in private companies and classes in private schools shall be at the discretion of the companies and administrations, respectively.
