Para matulungan mga apektado sa patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng bilihin

TINIYAK ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez na kumikilos ang administrasyong Marcos upang matulungan ang mga pamilyang Pilipino na lubhang apektado sa pagtaas ng presyo mga pangunahing bilihin.

Ginawa ni Speaker Romualdez ang pahayag matapos na umakyat sa 3.4 porsyento ang naitalang inflation rate noong Pebrero mas mataas sa 2,8 porsyento na naitala noong Enero. Ang pagtaas ay bunsod ng malaking pagtaas sa presyo ng pagkain.

“We understand that these figures represent significant challenges for everyday living and the well-being of our communities,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na mayroong mga hakbang na ginawa ang gobyerno upang malimitahan ang epekto ng pagtaas ng inflation gaya ng paglalaan ng pondo para sa ayuda o relief subsidies sa ilalim ng 2024 national budget.

“This decisive action demonstrates our commitment to protecting Filipinos from the adverse effects of global supply disruptions and ensuring that financial assistance is available to those who need it most,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

Sa kabila umano ng pagtaas ng presyo ng bilihin hindi lamang sa Pilipinas kundi maging sa ibang bansa, sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na patuloy na maganda ang itinatakbo ng ekonomiya ng Pilipinas na nakaka-angat umano kumpara sa ibang bansa sa Asya Pasipiko.

“However, we are mindful that economic growth must translate into tangible benefits for all sectors of society, particularly the underprivileged,” sabi pa nito.

Kasama umano sa mga ginagawa ng gobyerno ang pagpaparami ng produksyon ng pagkain na magpapahupa sa paggalaw ng presyo nito.

“The allocated ayuda or relief subsidy is part of our comprehensive approach to address the immediate needs of our citizens while fostering a more resilient agricultural sector,” wika pa ng lider ng Kamara na may mahigit 300 miyembro.

“We are also steadfast in our efforts to reinforce our supply chains, diversify our trade relationships, enhance local production capacities, and invest in infrastructure to mitigate the impacts of global economic fluctuations on our country,” dagdag pa nito.

Ang mga lubha umanong apektado ng pagtaas ng presyo ang target na matulungan ng mga hakbang na ginagawa ng gobyerno.

“We reassure every Filipino that the government is unwavering in its dedication to navigating these challenges effectively. We are continuously assessing the situation and are ready to adapt our strategies to ensure that our policies promote sustainable growth and enhance the well-being of every Filipino,” wika pa ng lider ng Kamara.
