MANDAUE City-KCS Computer Specialist tries to recover lost ground when it takes on cellar-dweller Tubigon-Boholin second round action of the 2021 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas Vis-Min Super Cup at the Alcantara Sports and Civic Center in Cebu.

Still smarting from a 73-81 setback to league-leading Talisay City-MJAS Zenith last Saturday, Mandaue guns for its sixth win in eight matches against the 1-6 Tubigon in the 3 p.m. encounter.

The loss to Talisay snapped Mandaue’s five-game winning streak and derailed its entry to the semifinal round of this six-team tournament sponsored by Chooks-to-Go and sanctioned by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB)

“We just want to keep on playing our game. Yan ang ginagawa namin ngayon. Before we focus on our opponents’ mistakes, but now we want to make sure na tama ginagawa namin as a team,” said Mandaue-KCS assistant coach Jappy Bautista.

“Kapag tama ang depensa namin, susunod na ang opensa. Gusto talaga namin makabawi after our tough loss to Talisay,” added Bautista.

In the 7 p.m. main game, Talisay-MJAS looks to extend its winning streak to nine games when it battles Dumaguete Warriors.

Although already assured of a semis berth, Talisay is expected to go all out for the victory against Dumaguete and move within a win of completing a rare sweep of the double-round eliminations.
