Maliksi, Buklod Filipino joins Lacson-Sotto kick-off campaign

IMUS CITY, Cavite – Imus Mayor and Buklod Filipino Party-list 1st nominee Emmanuel “Manny” Maliksi leads the kick-off campaign of Imus native presidential aspirant Panfilo “Ping” Lacson of Partido Reporma held at Imus Grandstand in Barangay Malagasang, Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

Maliksi together with Batangas City Vice Mayor Jun Berberabe (2nd nominee) and Imus Councilor Vince Amposta (3rd nominee) are pushing for the consolidation of the Filipino family as a citizen and nominees of the Buklod Filipino Party-list group for the May 9, 2022 National and Local elections.

“Tayo’y kaisa sa kanilang hangarin (Lacson-Sotto tandem) ng isang ligtas, maunlad, at nagkakabuklod-buklod na bansa, at hiling natin ang suporta ng bawat Imuseño, Caviteño, at Pilipino sa laban na ito.” Mayor Maliksi said.

According to Maliksi, the Buklod Filipino party-list is expressing the importance to every Filipino family – solving many family and economic problems.

Maliksi, his nomination seeks to make more Filipinos feel the development he has started and promoted for the Imuseños in his 9 straight years in office as local chief executive.

“This is our first step towards the dream that the development we have started and promoted in Imus will also be enjoyed by more of our Filipino compatriots,” said Mayor Maliksi.

The mayor and the party have already announced their platform in every Filipino family in Biñan, Cabuyao, and Santa Rosa, Laguna and Lopez, Tagkawayan and Gumaca, Quezon.

The party-list platform for every Filipino family includes the improvement of hospitals, free education, good income, distribution of free housing, and the promotion of equal human rights.

Buklod Filipino Partylist’s main advocacy is to represent the demands and calls of the underserved communities and ensure that the welfare of the people is given priority for health, education, pabahay (housing).

“Gusto namin na ang Buklod ang magtuloy bilang representante ng sector na ito, lahat kasi kami ay galing sa local government, kaya alam namin ang mga hinaing ng bawat Pilipino dala ang pagpapatatag ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino,” Maliksi said in an interview.

“Last 2019 election, Buklod was not lucky, but now Buklod is confident that it will enter because we have divided the advocacies,” Maliksi added.

For now, Maliksi is busy organizing the vaccination program at 5 inoculation sites and mobile jab sites in the city so that Imus can quickly achieve herd immunity and continue to assist every citizen of the city.

Party-list groups together with presidential, vice presidential, and senatoriables has 90-days to roam in 18 regions, 81 provinces, 145 cities, 1,489 municipalities, and 42,029 barangays to campaign themselves under extreme caution amid the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
