Maguindanao village official wanted for murder falls
A BARANGAY councilor in Datu Paglas, Maguindanao del Sur wanted for a non-bailable murder case was captured by security forces manning a police checkpoint in North Cotabato shortly before noon Monday, Area Police Command-Eastern Mindanao commander Maj. Gen. Benjamin H. Silo Jr. said yesterday.
The suspect identified as Kidato Abpa, a councilor of Bgy. Madidis in Datu Paglas municipality said to be a former battalion commander of the 108th Base Command of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front based in Salipada K. Pendatun town was arrested on the strength of a warrant for murder issued by the Nabunturan, Davao de Oro Regional Trial Court Branch 3 on August 28, 2021.
No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the accused.
