Korean nat’l, cohort for high-grade kush
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A Korean national and his Filipina cohort were arrested in a drug bust in Angeles City on Friday.
PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said members of the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), City Mobile Force Company, and Angeles City Police Stations 5 and 6 arrested the Korean national, 23, and a Filipina, 26, both residents of Barangay Margot, Angeles City, in an entrapment at a resort residences in Angeles City.
Hidalgo Jr. said they seized from the Korean national, who is listed in the police gallery as a “high-value individual” (HVI), were two canisters containing suspected high-grade marijuana or “kush” worth P30,000, the marked money, and a vehicle allegedly owned by the suspect.
The two suspects will be charged with violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 Art. II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165).
“Your police here in Central Luzon will have no let-up on our crackdown on all forms of lawlessness especially illegal drugs, as we continue to deliver police services to the communities of Region 3,” Hildalgo said.
