KAYA FC-Iloilo punched the last ticket to the PFF Women’s League final following a 2-1 victory over La Salle Saturday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Hazel Lustan’s 65th minute penalty after Cam Rodriguez was brought down in the box by Jan Jumawan was enough for Kaya to seal its final date with Manila Digger FC.

“I’m very proud of my team,” said Rodriguez. “We knew that we are entering this game as the more experienced team. So we needed to play through our strengths which is to play smart and moving the ball.”

Angelica Teves opened the scoring for the Lady Archers in the 19th minute.

Shelah Cadag then equalized for Kaya in the 49th minute off a Rodriguez assist.

Kaya almost made it 3-1 in the night, but substitute Maria Tanjangco saw her effort denied by the crossbar.

“Thankfully we were able to adjust at halftime and with every hardwork, we were able to get those two goals,” said Rodriguez.
