Isko describes self as ‘askal’
MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno described himself as a mere “askal” or a stray dog going up against “pedigrees” or dogs of expensive lineage, in his bid for the presidency in the coming May polls.
“Sila pedigree ako ‘askal’ kasi outsider ako eh… wala ako sa lumaking koponan pero magi-ingat kayo sa askal, me rabies ‘yun malay mo, baka maka-tsamba. May awa ang Diyos,” Moreno said, adding that he will make use of the remaining days of the campaign period knocking on the hearts of the voters to elect their team, adding that that all he wants to do is help tide over Filipinos until the pandemic is over.
The mayor also hinted that there might be additional candidates joining their team in the coming days. Apart from him and his running mate Doc Willie Ong, also included in Moreno’s slate are his candidates for Senator – Dr. Carl Balita, Atty. Jopet Sison, and Samira Gutoc.
Moreno has rejected the idea of entertaining senatoriables who wanted to become his guest candidates.
“Tatlo ang Senador kong kandidato pero nakakasiguro naman ako na ako talaga ang dinadala nila,” Moreno said.
