Isko breaks ground for new R. Magsaysay High School
STRESSING that education is the key to rise from poverty, front-running presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno led the groundbreaking of yet another new school building that would be built in keeping with the challenges and needs of modern times.
Moreno credited Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, Congressman Yul Servo, Congressman Edward Maceda, City Engineer Armand Andres, City Electrician Randy Sadac, City Architect Pepito Balmoris, and Division of City Schools Superintendent Magdalena Lim and all the city councilors for their help and support as they joined him in the groundbreaking and capsule-laying activities of the soon-to-rise Ramon Magsaysay High School in Sampaloc, Manila.
In his speech, Moreno said that the new school will offer better facilities that are more conducive for learning and is being built in honor of the late President Ramon Magsaysay, whose reign as the country’s top leader continues to be looked up to as the “golden age” of this country.
The R. Magsaysay High School is the fourth project of its kind in the city. The other three are the Almario Elementary School, the Manila Science High School, and the Albert Elementary School.
