ILAGAN, Isabela – Governor Rodolfo “Rodito” Albano III on Tuesday vowed to give all-out support for Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

“Nagpapasalamat kami sa pagsama mo kay Bongbong Marcos. Kaya kami, hindi ka namin pababayaan dito,” Albano said.

Sara met with Albano and the province’s local officials during a stopover of her Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride (MNPR), which is now on its Day 15.

Albano said President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has not forgotten the province in his development initiatives, and that Isabela wishes to pay tribute through supporting Sara Duterte in her candidacy.

“Ma’am, buong Isabela, sa utang namin sa iyong ama, buong-buo ito ibibigay namin. Marunong po kami dito sa Isabela tumanaw ng utang na loob. At buong-buo kaming sumusuporta sa ‘yo. Ayaw namin mapahiya,” the governor added.

Albano also urged his constituents to continue showing support to Sara. Isabela has an estimated one million voters.

“Ipakita natin ang pagmamahal natin dito sa anak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte,” he added.

Albano introduced Sara as the next vice president of the country before the large crowd who gathered at the plaza.

Residents were also seen waiting for Sara’s caravan by the roadside.

Isabela 1st District Rep. Tonypet Albano, who also chairs Lakas-CMD in Region II, said residents were showing their full support to the UniTeam tandem especially since they are part of the so-called “Solid North”.

“Kasama kami sa Solid North. Madami ang Ilokano sa amin, like my roots po na Albano ay galing Ilocos Norte. This is BBM-Sara country,” Albano said.

Sara was joined by UniTeam senatorial candidates Mark Villar, Gibo Teodoro, and Harry Roque.
