HVT hired gun collared for shabu, gun in Batangas

CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – A 26-year-old high-value target (HVT) individual and a known gun-for-hire who peddled illegal drugs was arrested by authorities during buy-bust in Batangas City, the other day.

According to the report of Batangas Police Director Glicerio C. Cansilao to Regional Director PRO Calabarzon (Police Regional Office – Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) PBrig. Gen. Antonio C.Yarra, the suspect identified as Jessie Gumban alias “Bakol”, a tricycle driver and resident of Bgy. Cuta Central, Batangas City.

Batangas City Police Station top cop Lt. Col. Salvador E. Solana said they recovered from the peddler some 13.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P91,000 after they conducted a buy-bust operation at 5:24 p.m. in Bgy. Cuta, Batangas City.

Police also found in his possession of one Glock 17 cal. 9mm gun, magazine, and five bullets.

Police learned that the recovered firearm was issued to PSSg. Eizza Johann Obcemea Ocado, a native of Tayabas, Quezon, and a PNP (Philippine National Police) member of the Batangas City Police Station.

It will be recalled that on August 6, 2021, a robbery incident was reported at Obcemea’s house in Bgy. Tingga Itaas, Batangas City, where his gun was reported stolen by an unidentified suspect.

The Batangas Provincial Forensic Unit (BPFU) will analyze the recovered evidence.

The suspect will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” and Sec. 261 (q) of National Law No. 881 or Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines.
