P1M shabu seized from Cabanatuan drug ‘trader’

CABANATUAN CITY – A jobless man was nabbed following a buy-bust operation wherein police authorities caught him in possession of more than P1-million worth of shabu on Friday here.

In his report to Nueva Ecija top cop Col. Jess B. Mendez, City police head Lt. Col. Carl Omar Fiel said the arrested drug suspect was identified as Arnold Palioc, 40, single, of Rizal St., Purok 6, Bgy. Suklayin, Baler, Aurora.

The Cabanatuan City Police tagged him as a high-value individual and drug pusher.

Intel-drug enforcement operatives led by Lt. Ryan P. Pagba busted the suspect during a drug sting pulled off in Purok 1, Bgy. Bantug Bulalo at 6:57 a.m. here.

Fiel said an undercover cop was able to successfully buy a P1,000-worth of shabu from the suspect, resulting in his immediate arrest.

“Yung source niya ng droga is yet to be determined. Naghahatid sya ng droga sa Cabanatuan at Aurora,” said Fiel in a text message to the Journal Group on Saturday.

During his arrest, another 22 plastic sachets of shabu were recovered from the suspect. The seized drugs weighed 150 grams with a street value of P1,020,000.

The suspect, who is now under the custody of the city police, was slapped with charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 before the city prosecutor’s office here.
