Haresco greets Romualdez happy b-day, cites excellence as ‘best Speaker’
HOUSE committee on appropriations vice chairman and Aklan 2nd District Rep. Teodorico Haresco, Jr. on Tuesday greeted Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on his 60th birthday and congratulated him for his excellence and leadership in the House of Representatives.
“Happy Birthday, Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez! With your dynamic and determined leadership, the country is fortunate to be steered towards development by the best Congress and best Speaker the House of Representatives has ever seen,” Haresco said in his birthday message.
Haresco cited the remarkable performance of the Speaker and the 19th Congress in terms of house bills and resolutions passed, including the timely passage of the General Appropriations Bill, the approval on 3rd and final reading of all 20 Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) priority bills ahead of target and Romualdez’s consistently high trust and approval ratings.
“Having worked with Speaker Romualdez, it is with confidence that I describe him as the Best Speaker we’ve ever seen–notable for his high trust and approval ratings, genuine generosity, affection for and by his colleagues and much more for his love and dedication for the Filipino people”, the veteran solon said.
As early as September 2023, the House of Representatives, through the leadership of Speaker Romualdez, has approved on third and final reading all 20 LEDAC priority bills of the Marcos administration ahead of its end-of-year target, laws aimed at promoting socio-economic development and streamlining government efficiency.
“This legislative-executive convergence and harmony never happened in the history of the House of Representatives until Speaker Romualdez took the helm,” Haresco added.
Haresco thanked Speaker Romualdez for his benevolence and passion to serve and aid districts and provinces especially those in crisis situations, as experienced first-hand by Aklan when it was ravaged by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng last October 2022.
“May you continue to live a blessed life filled with success and love and inspire more leaders to unite and uplift the lives of the Filipino people,” Haresco said.
