CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A man allegedly involved in illegal gun trade was arrested Tuesday in Arayat, Pampanga.

Pampanga acting police director Robin Sarmiento said Ranny Saycon, 39, of Bgy. Bucanan, Magalang, Pampanga, was nabbed by members of the Arayat police, Mapalad Patrol Base and 302nd RMFB3 in a buy-bust at Sta. Lucia Resettlement, Magalang, Pampanga.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect were one .38 pistol with defaced serial number, three live bullets and the buy-bust money.

Sarmiento said the suspect, believed to be engaged in illegal gun trade in Arayat and nearby towns, will be charged with violation of Republic Act 1059 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay lauded his men for the successful operation, saying the Central Luzon cops will not let up their campaign to eradicate all forms of crimes, particularly illegal drugs and loose firearms.
