Four held for guns, ammo in Batangas

FOUR men were nabbed for alleged possession of high-caliber firearms and ammunition while onboard a sports utility vehicle Monday in Bgy. Berinayan, Laurel, Batangas.

Laurel Municipal Police Station chief Capt. Gary A. Abregunda identified the arrested suspects as Christoper Carlos, Leonardo Balboa, Roberto de Guzman and Joshua Mosqueda.

A telephone call from Bgy. Captain Brandon Bruce of Bgy. Berinayan was received by the police informing that there were four suspicious armed individuals were on board a Mitsubishi Pajero (DAY 759) and cruising along the highway at 9 p.m.

The SUV was immediately flagged down by the cops.

Seized from the suspects were different an olive green sling bag containing a .45 caliber gun without a serial number, magazine with eight live ammunition for the same caliber, a black holster, a Shooter Protector cal. 38 without serial number with five live ammunition, a black bag, a Micro UZI 9mm Para, two long and short magazines, including 80live bullets, a cal. 9mm with no serial number, a magazine, and five live ammo.
