THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) headed by Brigadier General Jonnel C. Estomo, on Thursday cited the Eastern Police District (EPD) for its effective implementation of its anti-criminality measures leading to less occurrence of eight focus crimes in EPD jurisdiction.

For the month of October, the EPD headed by Col. Wilson C. Asueta scored 84% crime solution efficiency and 93% crime clearance efficiency based on official records from the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Crime Incident Reporting and Analysis System or CIRAS.

Last month also saw the EPD registering a “zero shooting to death” incident and “zero incident of homicide and murder.”

EPD has jurisdiction over the cities of Marikina, Pasig, Mandaluyong, and San Juan.

Estomo said that the EPD accomplishments can be attributed to the effective implementation of its S.A.F.E. (Seen, Appreciated and Felt by the people through Extraordinary actions) program in Metro Manila.

S.A.F.E. NCRPO is a strategic plan to ensure the safety and protection of metropolitan residents and visitors against criminal elements.

“I am hopeful that we can work together in ensuring the success of our anti-criminality and peace-keeping campaigns and help contribute to the transformation of the PNP headed by General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. in its quest to become a highly capable, effective, and credible police organization. One that enjoins confidence, trust, and respect of the people we serve and protect,” Estomo said.
