Eleazar names PNP spokesman as new PNP director for logistics
PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar on Wednesday designated PNP spokesperson, Brigadier Gen. Ronaldo E. Olay as the new PNP Director for Logistics.
The top cop also named Colonel Roderick Augustus B. Alba as the new PNP spokesman and chief of the PNP Public Information Office.
Brig. Gen. Olay, a member of Philippine Military Academy ‘Bigkis Lahi’ Class of 1990, will head the PNP Directorate for Logistics vice Major Gen. Angelito A. Casimiro of PMA ‘Maringal’ Class of 1988 who will be retiring on Saturday. Olay was appointed as PNP spokesperson last April 16.
Taking over the place of Olay as new PNP-PIO chief and PNP spokesperson is Col. Alba, , a product of PNP Academy Class 1992. Alba, a veteran Western Visayas police officer is currently the Deputy Director of the PNP Information Technology Management Service.
Official orders for the designation of Olay and Alba was issued by the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management on orders of Gen. Eleazar on Wednesday.
The two will be taking over their new positions effective October 1, Friday.
The change of command between Brig. Gen. Olay and Maj. Gen. Casimiro will take place on Friday, the day Casimiro will be given retirement honors at the Police Regional Office 2 headquarters in Tuguegarao City.
A native of Nueva Viscaya, Casimiro used to be a PRO2 director in Cagayan Valley.
He will be replaced as the top PNP logistician by Olay who previously headed the PNP Health Service. Olay also used to be a PNP Deputy Director for Operations and Comptrollership and Deputy Regional Director for Administration of the National Capital Region Police Office.
Olay also used to be a Cagayan Police Provincial Office director.
