AUTHORITIES seized at least P1.3 million worth of shabu from two arrested drug peddlers in a drug sting operation Wednesday afternoon in Taguig City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said the arrest of Shanilyn Hacog, 42 ,and Filomino Paswif, 40, both natives of Zamboanga Del Sur and residents of PNR Site, FTI Compound, Brgy. Western Bicutan was the result of a follow-up operation in connection with the armed encounter and dismantling of a drug den at the PNR SiteTuesday evening wherein a suspected drug den owner was killed and three others were arrested by elements of District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU).

Hacog and Paswif were arrested by operatives of DDEU, under the supervision of P/Lt. Col. Renante Galang, chief of the District Intelligence Division after they handed a plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P1,000 marked money during a buy-bust operation along Arca South, Western Bicutan at around 3:30 p.m.

When frisked, policemen seized from the suspects more or less 200 grams of shabu with standard drug price worth P1,300.000.00 placed in a brown floral paper bag and the P1,000 marked money.

The two were presented for inquest proceedings before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 26 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

“The anti-illegal drugs campaign of SPD will spare no one , pandemic or no pandemic,” BGen. Macaraeg said.
