Duterte still leads in VP race — RPMD survey

RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc.’s latest nationwide survey shows that Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio remains the frontrunner for vice president.

Senate President Tito Sotto’s voter share has grown by six percent if elections were held between March 15 and 22.

A poll conducted by the same firm from February 22 to February 28 found that Duterte-Carpio still won big in her bailiwick Mindanao, with 75 percent of the respondents picking her. She also won but in Metro Manila (52%) and Visayas (46%).

Sotto’s share showed Metro Manila, 37%, and Visayas, 39%.

The survey also revealed that Duterte retained a commanding lead in her home province of Mindanao, with 75 percent of those who took part choosing her. She also won in Metro Manila (52%) and the Visayas region (45%).

The “RPMD Boses ng Bayan 2022 survey” is a non-commissioned poll conducted from March 15-22, 2022, with 10,000 registered voters as respondents nationwide using face-to-face interviews and random sampling with a +/-1% margin of error, said Dr. Paul Martinez of RPMD.
