Deputy city prosecutor shot dead
A DEPUTY city prosecutor on Wednesday was killed in a gun attack in Conner, Apayao.
Slain was attorney Victor Begtang Jr. , a deputy city prosecutor in Ilagan City, Isabela.
The victim was shot four times near his home in Bgy. Malama, Conner at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
Witnesses rushed Begtang to Conner District Hospital, where he died while being treated.
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines-North Luzon condemned the killing of Begtang.
An investigation is ongoing.
