Grandma struck by 10-wheeler truck in Iloilo
A 64-YEAR-OLD woman on Tuesday died after she was hit by a 10-wheeler truck in Iloilo.
Police identified the victim as Maria Tejada, a resident of Bgy. Aganan, Pavia town.
Tejada was crossing the road when struck by the truck.
Witnesses said the driver of the truck failed to notice the old woman until he hit her.
The victim was rushed to the nearest hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment.
Charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide are being readied for filing against the truck driver who surrendered to the authorities.
