Daddy kills self on 2nd attempt
A DEPRESSED man who allegedly tried to commit suicide a week ago due to family problem was found hanging from the ceiling of his room Tuesday afternoon in Malabon City.
Malabon Police Sub-Station-3 commander P/Maj. Carlos Cosme said the lifeless 44-year-old drug surrenderree was discovered by his sister-in-lawhanging with an electric cord looped around his neck and the other end tied at the wooden beam inside the room of their house on Gutierrez St. Bgy. Panghulo at around 4:30 p.m.
The victim’s mother told homicide investigators P/SSgt. Jeric Tindugan and P/SSgt. Michael Oben that her son became depressed from depression after his wife and two sons decided to go home to their province in Capiz last February following a misunderstanding.
The mother added that her son already tried to commit suicide last week by slashing his wrist but they were able to rush him to the nearest hospital.
Malabon police chief P/Col. Joel Villanueva said the man;s family executed a waiver for the conduct of investigation and autopsy examination since they are fully convinced that he had committed suicide.
