CREAMLINE puts its unbeaten slate on the line against Chery Tiggo today in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Santa Rosa Multipurpose Sports Complex in Laguna.

The Cool Smashers are determined to extend their run to five matches – and 20th overall following last conference’s 15-0 sweep in the 2 p.m. tussle with the struggling Crossovers.

“Satisfied naman ako sa galaw ng mga players. Talagang nagta-trabaho sila para makuha yung panalo. Hindi nila tinitingnan kung sino yung kalaban nila, yun naman yung importante,” said Meneses after Creamline overwhelmed Strong Group Athletics, 25-13, 25-13, 25-19 last Tuesday.

After opening the season at 2-0, Chery Tiggo suddenly struggled as it suffered back-to-back defeats, including a 23-25, 22-25, 16-25 reversal of Farm Fresh a week.

As the Crossovers are seeking redemption from their lackluster performance as of late, the Cool Smashers anticipate a tougher match to remain undefeates.

“Siyempre step by step muna kami. Yung improvement naman manggagaling sa training eh, so doon muna kami naka-focus,” said Meneses.

Taking pride as the league’s top spiking team, Creamline hopes that Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza and Alyssa Valdez will sustain their solid play.

Chery Tiggo, which might potentially miss coach Kungfu Reyes as he is also handling University of Santo Tomas which also has a UAAP match today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, hopes to put up a stronger fight to get back on track.

Mylene Paat, Eya Laure and Aby Maraño are looking forward to deliver the goods for the Crossovers.

Meanwhile, Capital1 looks to nail a second win in five matches as it faces winless Galeries Tower at 4 p.m. while Akari and Nxled break a tie at 1-3 in a duel of sister teams in the 6 p.m. mainer.
