Cop stabbed by man he nabbed for curfew violation
A POLICE officer on Sunday was injured after he was stabbed by a man he arrested for curfew violation in Davao de Oro.
The Monkayo police identified the victim as Pat. Janry Cabrera Rabe, 27.
Rabe was on patrol in Bgy. Poblacion in Monkayo when he accosted suspect Jun Ruyana Melindo, 29, for violation of the curfew rules.
Instead of yielding, Melindo resisted arrest and stabbed the officer then fled.
Witnesses rushed the policeman to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Pursuing officers arrested Melindo in his mother’s house in Monkayo.
