Cop arrested for VAWC
NARVACAN, Ilocos Sur – A police lieutenant and active member of the Scout Ranger battalion, dubbed as No. 2 most wanted, was arrested Thursday by his fellow police officers in Sitio Simmilong, Bgy. San Antonio, Narvacan.
According to the police report, PLT Jex Darvin Collo y Kiwan, 24, single, PNP member assigned at RMFB PRO1 and presently under Scout Ranger training in Bulacan, is a resident of Bgy. San Antonio, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur.
Collo’s arrest was based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Fatima Vitamog Querubin, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 22, Narvacan.
“Joint personnel of CIDG PFU (lead unit), Ilocos Sur police and Narvacan PNP arrested the accused for violation of Anti-VAWC (Violence Against Women and Children) Law sec 5 (1) of RA 9262 with CC no. 4909-N-2021 with recommended bail bond of Php 72,000.00,” the report said.
