Comelec holds 1st command conference for Bacoor plebiscite
BACOOR CITY, Cavite. – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) and the city government of Bacoor led by chairman George Erwin Garcia and Mayor Strike B. Revilla respectively on Tuesday organized the first command conference for the holding of a plebiscite in this city. The confab was held at Fynn Boutique Hotel in Bgy. Panapaan, Bacoor City.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide stakeholders and the public with a broad understanding of the preparations being made for the upcoming Bacoor plebiscite on July 29.
It gathered key officials, experts, civil organizations, community leaders, and representatives from barangays to engage in a meaningful discussion and address concerns related to the plebiscite.
During the conference, the Comelec chairman provided information on the plebiscite process, emphasizing the legal framework, voter registration process, and the importance of citizen participation.
Garcia emphasized the importance of a clear and orderly plebiscite to ensure the legitimacy of its result.
Mayor Revilla expressed his gratitude to all the participants and reiterated the importance of a fair and successful plebiscite for the future of the city, and the need for unity and cooperation among all stakeholders and citizens of the locality.
Various sessions were held at the conference to discuss specific aspects of the plebiscite preparations.
Among the topics discussed were voter education and information dissemination, security measures, logistics, and the role of media in promoting awareness and participation.
At the end of the conference, a resolution was passed, reaffirming the commitment of all participants to support and promote a peaceful and successful plebiscite in Bacoor.
