Mimaropa cops jail 13 wanted men
THIRTEEN wanted persons, five of them facing non-bailable warrants of arrest for rape in Mimaropa region, were hauled to jail by agents of the Police Regional Office 4-B in a series of anti-criminality operations last Tuesday, PRO4-B director Brig. Gen. Joel B. Doria said yesterday.
“This is part of our stepped-up effort to account for all wanted lawbreakers in the region. We are assuring the public that criminals have no place to hide in Mimaropa region,” the official said.
Three of the suspects were arrested in separate manhunt operations in Occidental Mindoro.
One of the three identified as Domingo Tuapen, 44, was arrested in Bgy. Malawaan in Rizal municipality on the strength of a warrant of arrest for illegal possession of firearms and explosives, with no bail recommended.
The second identified as Georgie Riego, 42, was arrested in Bgy. Poblacion 7 in San Jose town on the basis of a warrant for direct assault upon an agent of a person in authority.
The third, Jeffrey Bidullo, 19, was tracked down in his hiding place in Bgy. Purnaga in Magsaysay municipality on the strength of a non-bailable warrant of arrest for rape.
Another suspect identified as Mark Anthony Maur, 28, was caught on the basis of a non-bailable warrant of arrest for rape. The suspect who has been tagged as one of Victoria, Oriental Mindoro’s most wanted persons, was caught in his hiding place in Bgy. San Roque in Catanauan, Quezon.
The fifth, Daniel Abau, 22, was arrested in a. buy-bust operation in Bgy. Poblacion 2 in Coron, Palawan.
Seized from Abau were six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu and the P2,000 in marked bills paid to him by an undercover officer.
The suspect is facing a non-bailable case for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Two others identified as Frankie Lee Marcos, 39; and Dan Rey Serna, 20, were arrested on charges of child abuse in Occidental Mindoro.
Marcos was caught in Bgy. Poblacion 7 in San Jose town while Serna was arrested in Magsaysay municipality.
The eight identified as Joseph Lamigas, 39, was arrested in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro on the basis of a warrant of arrest for qualified theft with a P200,000 recommended bail.
A ninth suspect identified as Mario Rollan, 56, was arrested on the basis of a warrant of arrest for acts of lasciviousness, with a P108,000 bail recommended by a local court. The suspect was caught in his hiding place in San Fernando, Romblon.
The 10th identified as Ismael Aboratigue, 42, a man wanted for a non-bailable murder case, was tracked down in his hideout in Sitio Balanga, Bgy. Luac, Culion, Palawan.
The 11th identified as Jenis Alejo, 22, was arrested on the basis of a warrant for rape by sexual assault. The suspect was arrested in Bgy. Tubtub in Brooke’s Point, Palawan.
Two others identified as Ronie Jay Axalan, 20; and Jezreel Evangelista,18, both wanted for a non-bailable rape case, were arrested in Bgy. Poblacion in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.
