Cockpit teller jailed for theft
A 26-YEAR-OLD cockpit teller was turned over to the Sto. Tomas City police station Wednesday by the assistant manager for allegedly stealing money from the office vault, a report said
Sto Tomas City Police Station chief Lt. Col Alfie M. Salang, identified the suspect as Arvin Ryan Cabela, single, teller at an Off Cockpit Betting Station (OCBS) and resident of Bukluran 1, Bgy. Darasa, Tanauan City, Batangas.
Cabela was turned over to the police at around 10:10 p.m. by Assistant Manager Garry Boy Vallejo of the Petmasters Live (Talpakan) a cock fighting arena owned by Christopher Yu along Maharlika Hi-way in Bgy. San Rafael, Sto. Tomas City.
Vallejo said that at around 9:30 a, m., a named Armina Bobadilla discovered that P150,000 placed inside the office vault missing.
Vallejo immediately called the suspect to report to their office.
After interrogating the suspect, Vallejo recovered P132,000 in different denominations inside a Kawasaki Fury motorcycle U-box.
The suspect is now detained at the police station holding cell for proper disposition.
