FOUR “more most wanted persons” (MWPs) in the country were hauled to jail by agents of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) in a series of manhunt operations on Sunday, PNP-CIDG Director Brigadier General Romeo M. Caramat Jr. said Tuesday.

“The arrests were made in line with our intensified effort to account for all wanted persons in the country as ordered by PNP chief, General Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr., to prevent them from committing more crimes in the streets,” said the PNP-CIDG director.

The official said that one of the suspects is known as the 3rd MWP in Batangas where he is facing a non-bailable warrant of arrest for large-scale illegal recruitment issued by Judge Marinel Agudo-Santos of the Cabanatuan City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 23 on November 24, 2022.

Caramat said that the suspect was arrested in Barangay Lucsuhin in Ibaan, Batangas, by members of the CIDG Regional Field Unit (RFU) 4-A two and the Batangas CIDG Provincial Field Unit (PFU) under Colonel Marlon Santos.

The three others were tagged as among the most wanted men in Davao del Sur who were arrested by officers from the CIDG RFU 11, said the official.

The three were tagged as the 7th, 16th, and 3rd “most wanted” suspects in the municipalities of Magsaysay, Bansalan, and Kiblawan, respectively.

Caramat said that one of the suspects was arrested for robbery issued by Judge Alexander Yarra of the Bansalan RTC Br. 21, while one MWP was captured for rape charges by the same judge.

The 3rd most wanted is the subject of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Marivic Daray of the Digos City RTC Br. 18.
