‘Christopher de Leon’ nabbed for ‘carnap’

THE namesake of multi-awarded veteran actor Christopher de Leon was arrested while another most wanted person was nabbed during a Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) conducted by Valenzuela City Police.

Valenzuela police chief P/Col. Salvador Destura, Jr. said de Leon was arrested by elements of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) led by P/Lt Joel Madregalejo with four others, together with operatives of 5th Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB, NCRPO) and District Anti-Carnapping Unit of Northern Police District (DACU-NPD) led byP/Maj. Jessie Misal at around 7:55 p.m. along Pablo St. Brgy. Karuhatan.

Case investigator Pat. Roland Buenaventura said de Leon was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued Thursday by Judge Maria Nena Juaban-Santos of the Valenzuela Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 171 for violating R.A. 10883 or New Anti-Carnapping Act with P300,000 bail for his temporary liberty.

At around 6:43 p.m., operatives of Valenzuela Station Intelligence Section (SIS) led by P/Lt. Richie Garcia and elements of Sub-Station 1 arrested de Leon’s neighbor JB Batillano, also known as Ronilo Batillano, 30, inside his home aon 52 Dosensa St., Brgy. Canumay West.

SIS chief P/Maj. Marissa Arellano said Batillano was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued on July 15, 2022 by Judge Mateo B. Altarejos of Family Court Branch 16 of Valenzuela City for a case of statutory rape with no bail recommended.
