CHOCO Mucho and Chery Tiggo seeks to gain the needed cushion in the semifinals race as they play separate foes today in the Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference at the Philsports Arena.

The Flying Titans eye to stretch their winning run to seven against struggling F2 Logistics at 6 p.m., while the Crossovers play dangerous Cignal at 4 p.m.

PetroGazz hopes to catch a break to arrest a four-match slide after a promising 4-0 start in the 2 p.m. duel with already-eliminated Farm Fresh.

Sporting similar 6-1 records, Choco Mucho and Chery Tiggo are within distance of Creamline, which pulled off a straight-set win over PLDT in Cagayan de Oro last Saturday to extend its unbeaten run to seven matches.

Behind the league’s fourth-leading scorer Sisi Rondina, the Flying Titans are coming off a 18-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-16 conquest of the Angels last Thursday.

“Malaking tulong yung panalo namin sa magiging kumpiyansa namin sa susunod na games. Importante kasi bawat laro lalo na ngayon padulo na elimination. Sobrang thankful ako sa naging resulta,” said Choco Mucho coach Dante Alinsunurin.

The Crossovers, meanwhile, are fresh from a 10-day hiatus after beating the High Speed Hitters, 14-25, 25-20, 28-26, 25-19, aiming to shake off any rust from the long break.

The Flying Titans are bracing for the Cargo Movers who cannot afford to drop matches from now on.

Tied with PetroGazz and Akari in sixth place at 4-4, F2 Logistics needs to collect as many wins as possible to reach the Final Four, as it still has Chery Tiggo on Saturday and PLDT on Nov. 30.

The Crossovers are in for a tough afternoon showdown with the HD Spikers, who at 6-2 are still very much within the top four range.

Cignal setter Gel Cayuna knows what the team needs to achieve its goals.

“Sipag at tatag lang,” said Cayuna.
