Chinese nat’l, 5 Pinoys nabbed for kidnap

AUTHORITIES arrested a Chinese national and five Filipino cohorts for allegedly kidnapping two Chinese nationals and their Filipino companion Tuesday evening in Las Pinas City.

Southern Police District Director (SPD) P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the arrested suspects as Xing Juntao, 32, resident of 12/F Unit 503-505A Place, Pasay City, Michael Vargas, 24, Ellerie Javier, 40, Elson Obligar, 38, Ronald Desuasido, and Marianette Salazar, driver.

Macaraeg said Las Pinas City Police received a call from their informant regarding an abduction perpetrated by armed men at around 11:30 p.m. along Brgy. Almanza Uno wherein two Chinese nationals and their woman companion were forcibly dragged inside a white Toyota Grandia van bearing plate number (NAR-721) by armed men.

Las Pinas Police immediately conducted a follow-up operation at 501 Pilar Development Corporation, Xin Chuang Bldg. Brgy. Almanza Uno which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.

Police also rescued the victims identified as Huang Xiao Long, 31, Liang Bo Da, 35 and Krizia Estrillia, 19, all residents of Mandaluyong City.

Recovered from the suspects were an American Classic II Cal 45 with magazine loaded with 15 live ammos, and Armscor Cal 45 with an extra magazines loaded with 13 live bullets, a Sam Shooters with two magazines and 12 live ammunition and a Shooters Commodore with two magazines with 20 live ammunition.

“The swift and timely response of our police resulted to the rescue of these would-be kidnap victims and arrest of their kidnappers. I would like to commend Las Piñas City Police for their immediate response, ito ay patunay na laging handa ang ating kapulisan sa ano mang oras, kami ay naririto upang kayo ay ipagtangol at paglingkuran” Macaraeg said.
