CALAMBA CITY, Laguna.- The winning officials here were sworn in Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the historic Jose Rizal shrine in Barangay Poblacion in conjunction with the celebration of the 161st Birth anniversary of the national.

During the 1st part of the program, Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez, Vice Gov. Karen Agapay, Congresswoman-elect Charisse Alcantara, Mayor-elect Roseller Rizal, Vice Mayor-elect Angelito Lazaro and city councilor offered a wreath at the monument of young Rizal at the grounds.

During the 2nd part, Outgoing Councilor Charisse Alcantara was sworn in by RTC Branch 35 Judge Gregorio Velasquez.

Also sworn in were Board Member-elect Peewee Perez of the 2nd District of Laguna, 12 councilors, Vice Mayor-elect Angelito ‘Totie’ Lazaro, son of former Laguna Governor Ning Ning Lazaro and Mayor-elect Roseller H. Rizal.

“Ako po ay naniniwala na ang posisyon na ibinigay ninyo sa akin at pinagkatiwala po ng ating Panginoon Diyos, as well as the position na iniatang sa atin ng mga kababayan nating Calambeños.

Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng sector sa lungsod, tapos na po ang halalan, anuman po ang politika na ating kinaaaniban eh, tapos na po ito, its about time na magkaisa po tayo. Sa ating mga kapwa lingkod bayan, hinihingi ko po ang inyong suporta sa ating isusulong na programs na serbisyong tapat sa tao at sa pag-unlad na hindi maiiwan ang taong bayan,” Rizal said.

Rizal also quotes Dr. Jose Rizal and said, “Walang halaga ang isang Buhay kung hindi ilalaan sa dakilang layunin.”
