Blu Boys score twin wins in Softball Asia Cup
AN amazing day one performance by the RP Blu Boys softball team has led them to an undefeated 2-0 streak at the Men’s Softball Asia Cup 2023 held in Kochi, Japan.
Their opening bout with India was nothing short of impressive when they outran their opponents, 5-1. After only a few hours of rest, the Cebuana Lhuillier-backed team took the field anew and overwhelmed Chinese-Taipei, scoring a 7-1 victory
Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) President Jean Henri Lhuillier was ecstatic with the back-to-back wins.
“The RP Blu Boys have trained so hard for this. It has been an absolute delight watching the team grow to be a formidable squad. We will be here supporting the Blu Boys all the way to the finish,” said Lhuillier.
The RP Blu Boys are set to take the field again on June 26 at 11:30 a.m. against Singapore, followed by a battle with the defending champion, Japan, at 2 p.m. on the same day.
