Black Sharma, Splashers roll back PSL rivals

THE Consolacion Black Sharma and GM Seafront Splashers scored separate hard-earned wins last Friday to set in motion their bids in the Manila Bankers Life-Pilipinas Super League Under-18 Visayas Leg at the Cebu City Sports Institute.

Rafael Azzadaza notched a game-high 21 points, on top of six rebounds as the Black Sharma edged Sidlak Danao 72-69.

Ethan Magsalang and John Sabroso provided ample help with 15 and 11 points, respectively for the Black Sharma.

In the other game, GM Seafront rode Khian Panerio’s 23 points and five rebounds to trip Basak Where I Belong 95-89.

John Bual tallied 19 points and five rebounds for the Splashers.

Kenneth Cole, Luke Mahumot, and Kent Castro also added 17, 14, and 12 points, respectively for GM Seafront in the tilt co-presented by SCD and Dumper party-list and supported by J Project Clothings, MDC, Bluesky Advertising, NET 25, Wcube Solutions Inc., Hotel SOGO, and Converge, with former PBA player and coach Leo Isaac serving as Commissioner.

Harrold Puno paced Sidlak Danao with 15 points, while Rasjay Esperat and Paolo Gera combined for 27.

Carmelo Cabalhug scored 21 points for Basak Where I Belong, which also drew 19, 17, 12, and 10 points from Kent Dumandan, Aldrin Dipay, Janford Inso, and Bierneboy Berdin, respectively.

The PSL Under-18 Luzon and NCR Leg fires off today with a triple header at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

Taytay takes on Fin & Claw KalosPH at 2 p.m. while Calamba faces LDG San Pedro at 4 p.m.

New Era University battles Mandaluyong Namayan at 6 o.m.
