POLICE Saturday reported that Batangas’ most wanted person for the alleged rape of a minor two years ago was arrested in Bgy. Bilogo, Batangas City.
Rosario Municipal Police Station (MPS) commander Lt. Col. Karlos Lanuza identified the arrested suspect as Manuel Aro, married, caretaker, and presently residing in this village.
Lanuza said Aro was charged with four counts of rape and listed as the no. 1 most wanted person at the regional level 2.
The joint operatives team of Rosario MPS (Lead Unit) led by PSSg Rommel Ramirez, a warrant officer together with members of the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 4A-PIT Batangas, Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 4A-RIT Batangas, and Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) Batangas led by PEMS Nixon Ilagan conducted a joint operation around 11:10 p.m. which resulted in the arrest of the accused.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge. Rose Marie J Manalang-Austria of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 87 of Rosario, Batangas.
