Batangas farmer held for indiscriminate firing

CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas — A farmer was arrested by the police for allegedly firing a gun indiscriminately in Sitio Calihon, Barangay Palingowak, San Juan, Batangas.

A report to Batangas police director Col. Glicerio C. Cansilao by Major Arlan P. Perez identified the suspect as Allan Yadan, 47, married, farm worker and resident of Sitio Calihon, Barangay Palingowak.

A telephone call from a concerned citizen was received by San Juan MPS informing that he heard several gunshots in Sitio Calihon at 12:05 a.m on Dec 15.

Police immediately responded and caught the suspect allegedly in the act of a gun.

A Norinco cal .45 handgun with serial number I972908246 loaded with four live bullets and two pieces of empty shell casings were seized from the suspect.

Yadan, case officer P/Cpl Atienza, said the suspect was charged with violation of Republic Act 10591 known as “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act”.
