Alapag joins Sacramento Kings

THE Mighty Mouse is joining the NBA.

Former PBA star Jimmy Alapag has taken on a significant new role as player development coach for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA.

The 45-year-old made this exciting announcement on his social media on Saturday, Aug. 5, expressing that it is a dream come true for him to be part of Coach Mike Brown’s staff for the upcoming NBA season.

“A DREAM COME TRUE… Proud to announce I’ll be joining Coach Mike Brown and his staff as a Player Development Coach for the upcoming NBA season. Incredibly blessed and thankful for this opportunity,” wrote Alapag on his official social media page.

Alapag had been serving as an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings’ G-League affiliate, the Stockton Kings. The new role caps an illustrious career for the former PBA Most Valuable Player and Gilas Pilipinas team captain.
