AFP ipaparada modernong military assets sa Independence Day
IPAPARADA ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang mga moderno nitong military assets at firepower sa pagdiriwang ng ika -125 taong Araw ng Kasarinlan sa bansa ngayong taon.
Ayon kay Lt. Col . Enrico Gil Ileto, Chief ng AFP-Public Affairs Office, handang handa na ang AFP sa selebrasyon ng Araw ng Kalayaan para ipakita sa publiko ang kanilang mga firepower at iba pang military assets na gamit sa ‘ territorial defense capability ‘ ng military.
Kabilang sa mga ito ang apat na ground -base air defense systems surface-to-air missiles, dalawang Autonomous Truck-Mounted Howitzer System 155mm self-propelled artillery will feature in the civic-military parade, dalawang A-29B Super Tucano, isang AH-1S Cobra attack helicopter, dalawang Blackhawks at dalawa pang AW-109 naval helicopters .
Paliliparin sa himpapawid ang nasabing mga aircrafts sa gitna ng okasyon.
“A total of 34 motorized/mechanized assets will join a division-size marching troops while 26 aircraft will cruise over Manila as part of the fly-by contingent,”pahayag ng opisyal.
Sa taong ito ang tema ng pagdiriwang ay “ Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan’ na naglalayong itampok ang mga nakamtan ng AFP sa modernisasyon at transformation program .
“The AFP aims to highlight its gains in its modernization and transformation programs and its enhanced capability and capacity to defend national sovereignty and territory as it shifts from its internal security priorities,” ang sabi pa ng opisyal.
