2 suspected pushers found dead with bullet wounds in Quezon

LUCENA CITY — Police are digging deeper to find out the motives behind the killing of two men whose bodies were found separately in Quezon on Tuesday.

Quezon police director Col. Ledon Monte who immediately formed an investigation team identified the victims as Arnel Lavarez and Louie Devera, both residents of Brgy. Market View, this City.

Monte said Lavarez was found lying along Eco Tourism Road at Sitio Bagong Pook, Brgy Talaan Aplaya, Sariaya, Quezon.

Devera was disvovered along the road shoulder of Brgy. Lakawan in Tayabas City. His head down to arms was wrapped with packaging tape.

Monte said both victims bore multiple gunshot wounds in the head and body.

Meanwhile, a laborer was killed while his companion was wounded after they were peppered with bullets by two unidentified men riding in tandem on a motorcycle at Brgy. Manggalang Bantilan, also in Sariaya, Quezon on same day.

Edgar De Castro , 40,and Gerry Escovilla, 39, both residents of Sitio Bungkalot, Brgy Lutucan, Malabag Sariaya, Quezon, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the head and body.

De Castro died on the spot due to head injury while Escovilla is still fighting for his life in the hospital.

Police are still investigating the case.
