2 MWP for estafa, violation of bouncing check law nabbed in Ecija

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – Two most wanted persons with pending cases for estafa and violation of bouncing check law before local courts in Nueva Ecija were arrested following manhunt operations launched against them over the weekend.

In Talavera, warrant operatives under the supervision of police head Maj. Domingo A. Resma Jr. nabbed a 56-year-old woman from Bgy. Maestrang Kikay at 8:20 a.m. Saturday.

Her arrest was carried out on the strength of an arrest warrant for six counts of violation of Batas Pambansa No.22 (Bouncing Check Law) , which was issued by Assisting Judge Jesus G. Torres, of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 3 in Cabanatuan City on February 20, 2024, with total recommended bail of P36,000.

Meanwhile, in Licab, police arrested a 52-year-old widower-farmer from Bgy. Aquino during manhunt operations conducted at his hideout at 10:45 p.m.

Police implemented an arrest warrant for estafa against the suspect, which was issued by Presiding Judge Julius Arabaca-Java, Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Third Judicial Region, Quezon-Licab, on February 13, 2024, with a recommended bail of P18,000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty.

The two nabbed suspects are now under police custody for proper disposition.
