TWO alleged “high-value target” drug personalities yielded more than P.3 million worth of shabu and a firearm in a police buy-bust operation Thursday evening in Navotas City.

Navotas police chief P/Col. Dexter Ollaging said elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Lt. Luis Rufo Jr. arrested Mark Andrew Guevarra, 38, and Dexter Luyon, 48, both residents of Moonwalk Village, Talon Singko, Las Piñas City, in a drug sting operation at around 11:28 p.m. along Vifgo Drive, Bgy. NBBS Kaunlaran.

The suspects, on board a Mitsubishi Adventure (NAH-3359), were collared by the SDEU operatives, Special Weapons and Tactics team and elements of the Station Intelligence Unit after they handed a medium-size plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P12,000 marked money.

Ollaging said operatives confiscated a total of 50.9 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P346,120, a caliber .38 revolver with five live bullets from its chamber, a cellular phone, digital weighing scale, marked money consisting of P1,000 genuine bill and 11 pieces of boodle money and the Mitsubishi Adventure from the arrested suspects.

The suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Navotas City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act, and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act.
