1 critical in Dasma resort shooting
DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – A gun bullet went through a man’s neck after being shot during a heated altercation on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Coco Valley Richnez Water Park in Barangay Paliparan III.
The victim is currently being observed at the local hospital here, and the suspect was arrested during a follow-up operation.
According to P/Sgt. Elmo Caboboy, the incident occurred inside the said resort at around 2:30 a.m., where the victim was having an outing with his friends and a separate group, including the suspect.
It is said that there was a “misunderstanding” between both groups until the victim and suspect argued.
The suspect “panicked” and immediately took a gun he was carrying and shot the victim, who was hit in the neck.
Authorities are preparing to file frustrated homicide charges against the suspect.
