UniTeam captivates Las Piñas City

UNITEAM senatorial candidate Mark Villar was left in awe of the drawing power of the Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.-Sara Duterte tandem and their candidates, which made rounds in his home city of Las Piñas City on Sunday.

Villar, former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) secretary, was convinced that every Las Piñas resident came out of their homes just to get a glimpse of the UniTeam caravan and the grand rally.

“Kanina sa caravan, grabe, ewan ko lang kung nakita niyo, pero parang wala nang Las Piñero na naiwan sa bahay. Lahat po ng ating mga kapwa Las Piñero nasa kalsada na kanina, kaya di na ata ko kailangan mag-speech. Mukhang tapos na ang eleksyon kaya hindi na ako magsasalita nang mahaba,” Villar said during his speech at the huge UniTeam rally Sunday night at The Tent in Global South, Manuyo Dos, Las Piñas City.

The UniTeam grand rally in Las Piñas City was hosted by Mayor Imelda Aguilar, Vice Mayor April Aguilar, Rep. Camille Villar, Mark Villar, Sen. Cynthia Villar, and former Senate President Manny Villar, Nacionalista Party (NP) chairman.

UniTeam candidates led by Marcos and Duterte expressed their deep gratitude to the Aguilars and Villars for warm welcome received by the team.

Marcos of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) is vying for the presidency while Duterte of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) is running for vice president.

The motorcade around Las Piñas was supposed to take just one hour long, but the sheer number of supporters and well-wishers who filled the roads caused it to last four hours.

Villar, son of Manny Villar and Cynthia Villar, is known for being the face of the Duterte administration’s flagship “Build, Build, Build” program.

He told voters in the city that the future of the well-received program would be ensured via a Marcos-Duterte victory in May.

“‘Wag naman sana mawala ang Build, Build, Build program natin, pero alam ko naman hindi na kailangan sabihin dahil tayo po dito alam naman natin tayo ay isang pamilya. Para hindi mawala yung Build, Build, Build natin, kailangan suportahan natin lahat po ng UniTeam, lalo na po si Bongbong Marcos at Sara Duterte,’ he said.

It was another festive rally by the UniTeam as the huge crowd in and outside of The Tent were treated to performance by celebrities Andrew E, Toni Gonzaga and others.

Senatorial candidates Sherwin Gatchalian, Loren Legarda, Migz Zubiri, Harry Roque, Jinggoy Estrada, Larry Gadon, Gibo Teodoro, Gnngo Honasan, Rodante Marcoleta, Robin Padilla, and Villar attended the grand rally.

Also taking place in Harbor House, Daanghari Road, Las Piñas Sunday afternoon was a meeting between Marcos, Duterte and People’s Reform Party (PRP) candidates in upcoming local race in Muntinlupa City.

The PRP candidates included mayoral aspirant Marc Red Mariñas and vice mayoral bet Eulogio “Oyo Boy” Dioko II.
