Troublemaker technician held for gun, ammo in Batangas

AUTHORITIES arrested a drunk technician after residents complained that he was making trouble in Lipa City, Batangas the other day.

Lt. Col. Lory M. Tarrazona of the Lipa City Police Station (CPS) identified the suspect as Mark Eugene Enriquez y Villanueva, 32, married and a resident of Purok 7, Bgy. San Isidro, this city.

According to Tarrazona, around 1 o’clock in the afternoon on November 10, the suspect was arrested and brought to Lipa CPS by the Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) team in connection with the incident.

Investigation showed that at about 11:45 p.m. of the same date, a telephone call was received by the said station from a concerned citizen informing them that a person who seems to be under the influence of alcohol and armed with a handgun was creating trouble in the vicinity at Purok 7, Bgy. San Isidro.

Police immediately responded at the scene and saw the suspect trying to flee but the SWAT team chased him that resulted in his arrest.

They recovered from the suspect one Armscor cal. 45 pistol with serial number 1411149 with inserted one magazine loaded with seven pieces of live bullets.

Pertinent documents are now being readied against the suspect who is charged with Violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
