Toddler choked to death by alleged druggie mommy
A 2-YEAR-OLD boy was allegedly choked to death by his own mother who was suspected to be high on drugs on Tuesday in Bacoor City, Cavite.
A report submitted to Police Regional Office 4A Director Brig. Gen. Carlito M. Gaces identified the suspect as Rhina Maninang, 25, of Bgy. Talaba 1, Bacoor City.
The victim was Maninang’s own son, Sam.
Sonny Gregorio, the victim’s father, said when he arrived home from work, he was surprised to see his son dead in their bedroom.
The victim’s elder brother told his father that he witnessed the killing.
An investigation showed the suspect is a drug user.
“Ginugutom at minamaltrato ng ina ang sariling mga anak, lalo kapag lulong sa droga,” a relative, whose name was withheld, told police.
Responding lawmen arrested Maninang, who is now detained at the Bacoor City jail facility, facing parricide charges.
