2 cops found bloodied, dead inside police station in Ilocos Sur
TWO police officers yesterday morning were found dead inside a police station in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur.
The victims were identified as Cpl. Jeric Ace Abaoag, 29, a resident of Bgy. San Antonio, Narvacan, and Pat. Joe Mendoza, 27, of Balaoan, La Union.
Abaoag suffered two gunshot wounds in the head and body while Mendoza had a gunshot wound in the head.
Both were assigned at the Narvacan Municipal Police Station.
An initial investigation showed that the two went to the third floor of the police station carrying their personal belongings.
Moments later, fellow officers who were on the ground floor heard two successive gunfires from upstairs followed by another gunshot.
Policemen rushed to check and were shocked to see the two cops bloodied on the floor.
Beside Abaoag and Mendoza was a cal. 9mm gun.
An investigation is ongoing.
