Nagbitiw sa kanyang puwesto bilang Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) head si Tirso Cruz III.

Ayon sa tweet ni MJ Felife ng ABS-CBN sa X kagabi, kinumpirma ni Direk Joey Reyes ang pagre-resign ni Pipo. Personal umano ang dahilan ng pagbibitiw ng aktor.

“JUST IN: Tirso Cruz III has resigned from his post as chairman of the Film Development council of the Philippines citing personal reasons. This was confirmed by Jose Javier Reyes, who is the technical consultant of the agency under Cruz’ wings,” tweet ni MJ.

Wala pa umanong ina-appoint na bagong chairman ang Presidente.

“Rica Arevalo is the appointed OIC while waiting for the new chairman that will be appointed by the President. Tirso’s resignation is effective March 1, 2024,” tweet ni MJ.

Matatandaang na-appoint si Tirso as FDCP chair noong July 2022. Pinalitan niya ang aktres na si Liza Dino-Seguerra na naglingkod naman mula 2016-2022.

Sa ngayon ay wala pang pormal na pahayag si Tirso o ang FDCP tungkol dito.
