FOLLOWING a rise in COVID-19 infections in the past few days, the Supreme Court (SC), through the Office of the Court Administrator (OCA), has come up with a circular prescribing the trial courts’ workforce in areas under Alert Level 1 and Alert Level 2.

In OCA Circular No. 166-2022, courts under those alert levels have been required to maintain a workforce of 50% to 75% until Friday, July 8.

Judges may conduct their court proceedings via videoconferencing, the circular continued.

Court Administrator Raul B. Villanueva signed the circular upon orders from Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo.

The National Capital Region (NCR) is under Alert Level 1 until July 15.
